599 Fest is a two-day celebration of Northern California’s indie music community, bringing together local bands and artists from Redding and Chico. Spanning three decades of sound, the festival shines a light on the scrappy, creative energy that’s powered both scenes for the past 30 years.

Interstate 5 and Highway 99 connect these towns not just geographically, but musically. For years, the Redding and Chico scenes have traded shows, shared stages, and kept things moving - when a venue closes in one city, another pops up in the other. Bands, musicians, and ideas have always traveled these roads, pushing each other forward.
